OUR HISTORY
The Western Reserve Group is made up of three Ohio domiciled property
and casualty insurance companies. The group conducts business in Ohio
and Indiana and are represented exclusively by a quality independent
agency force.. The three companies include Lightning Rod Mutual Insurance
Company, which commenced business in 1906, Western Reserve Mutual
Casualty Company, which commenced business in 1937, and Sonnenberg
Mutual Insurance Company, which commenced business in 1859. 
The companies operate pursuant to a pooling agreement whereby net premiums, losses, underwriting expenses, and certain assets and liabilities are shared on a predetermined percentage basis.

The companies have a long history of profitable operations and a strong financial condition. This is reflected in the A (Excellent) rating by A.M. Best Company, a well known and respected company that rates insurance companies.
