The Western Reserve Group seeks a WebSphere Message Broker developer to provide integration capability across multiple applications and technologies. Individual will be responsible for data transfer and transformation, primarily between mainframe- and server-based systems.
Qualified candidate will possess strong Message Broker development skills, as well as a working knowledge of MQ Administration. Experience with Agile development methodology is preferred. Java or C#/.Net experience is a plus.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Development of message flows to transform data from XML to Cobol copybook and vice-versa.
· Creating Message Flows to access Web Services.
· Participation in application development projects.
· Production support of message flows.
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent.
· 2+ years of relevant experience working in a WebSphere 6.0+ environment.
· Experience interfacing with mainframe systems.
· Knowledge and current experience in ESQL coding.
· Ability to debug message flows on a remote server.
· Understanding of the Header and Body parts of a message and how to manipulate them.
· Proficiency with error-handling and means to avoid message loss.
· Knowledge and experience with SQL Server database.
· Ability to handle some Broker and MQ administration tasks, such as deployment of flows.
· Experience with Java or C#/.Net development is a plus.
